Mr. William A. Brownlee Sr. was a man born and raised in Philadelphia, PA on April

15, 1987. He graduated from Overbrook High School, obtaining a full athletic scholarship where

he later earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Central State University in

Wilberforce, Ohio. He is the father of four children, and the husband of Talia Brownlee.

While attending college, God petitioned for a full commitment from him which led to a

full sacrifice of his NFL football career and an opportunity of a lifetime. In 2012, he fully

surrendered to the call upon his life and began to serve in the Ministry at New Hope and Faith

where he was ordained as a Minister. He later went on to pursue his Master of Divinity at Palmer

Theological Seminary in King of Prussia, PA. Yet these were major achievements, they became

merely the stepping stones to some of his greatest accomplishments.

Overseer William Brownlee lives by this quote, “God does not have a respect of age when it

comes to his blessings and promotions, ask DAVID!”

William Brownlee Sr. is currently the Overseer and Pastor of Emmanuel Christian Center

Inc. ECC of Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Houston and Atlanta. In addition to having birthed three

ministries; in 2019, his specific love for the youth, also birthed Emmanuel Christian Center

Leadership Academy. As instructed by God, their focus has been to raise up future leaders!

William Brownlee Sr. has a desire to provide opportunities that would change the trajectory of the

people within his community. His efforts did not stop there!

Since Emmanuel Christian Center has been active, Williams Brownlee Sr. has found every opportunity to be of assistance to those who have been in need. From the victims of the fire on 63rd Street in West Philadelphia, to the victims on 59th and Chestnut, Mr. Brownlee has provided support and assistance and provided necessities to the families.

Mr. Brownlee has also begun the Brownlee Scholarship Fund (BSF) which feeds the vision to offset the financial hardships of those faced with difficulties furthering their education. Since the Brownlee Scholarship Fund (BSF) has been in full operation, Overseer William Brownlee has given 15 scholarships out under this program. The first recipient of the Brownlee Scholarship Fund, Nafees Norris has graduated from Jefferson’s Biopharmaceutical Engineering Program as the first African American.

Under the leadership of the Holy Spirit and as a result of much prayer, Overseer Brownlee has officially become a serial entrepreneur; the founder of Divine Enterprises LLC in 2020. Divine Enterprises has surpassed cultural stigmatization of African Americans. He is able to regularly give back to the community with a myriad of resources: Food Bank, Clothes Drive, Christmas Toy Drive, Financial Literacy Classes and much more.

While maintaining 14 active businesses, 5 non-profit organizations, alongside the operation of the BSF, Overseer has trained business owners with the knowledge of legal establishments and Financial Literacy. Through Divine Financial Services, he has established over 100 black minority businesses. Furthermore, providing over $2,000,000 of funding through grants and loans.

While Mr. Brownlee has already begun to change the trajectory of the community in which he serves, he understands the importance of furthering his education to fulfill other goals that God has placed in his hands to accomplish. As he creates opportunities for others, he is actively showing the importance of balance, resilience, and strength to take ownership for this next chapter of his life.

We believe that with Mr. Brownlee’s educational background, his spiritual knowledge and

understanding, his dedication to serve others within the community, and his commitment to

implement change, he is fully dedicated to leveraging his abilities to build West Philadelphia

and its surrounding areas. Mr. Brownlee is fully supported by his four children William Jr. Ty, Takai

and Trinity Brownlee, Divine Enterprises LLC and Emmanuel Christian Center Inc.
